We are pleased to announce an exciting evolution of the Red Lion R&R Club loyalty program. Based on member feedback and extensive insights from leading customer loyalty programs, we are transitioning the Red Lion R&R Club to a new dynamic customer recognition program.

The problem with many point-based loyalty programs is that they generally require members to earn their status and tier level before receiving earned benefits. Fundamentally, we believe a more hospitable approach is in order. We believe it is up to us to earn the loyalty of our guests. And we very much intend to earn your business throughout every stay. Having listened to our most frequent guests and their desire to be recognized as an individual who stays with us on a regular basis, we set out to create a program that makes our guests stand apart from the crowd and treats everyone as an individual.

The future Red Lion loyalty program is not your typical points-based membership with status and tiers. It is about recognizing and rewarding our members for doing things they already love to do. The future Red Lion loyalty program frees you from tracking your points while continuing to extend our most widely used member benefit, 15% off our best available rate through Lowest Rate, Period, formerly known as Member Advantage. We are building a program that responds to your insights and communicates with immediate gratification. Several principals guide the future membership program. We want you to feel recognized with tailored experiences that fuel your passions while providing surprise and delight experiences. So, look for more information as we transition R&R Club to the future Red Lion loyalty program.

With the evolution to a new membership program, comes the expiration of the Red Lion R&R Club program. The last date for which we will issue miles or points for overnight stays will be May 31, 2014. Red Lion R&R Club members with a minimum of 10,000 points have six months to utilize their existing point balance. Any redemptions for overnight stays must be reserved and used by November 30, 2014. Additionally, Red Lion R&R Club members can redeem points between now and November 30, 2014, for benefits with four airline partners or for gift cards with Costco, GC Incentives or Macy's. What is happening to the Red Lion R&R Club program?

We are transitioning from a points-based program to a new dynamic recognition-based program. The evolution of our program is designed to create a more dynamic recognition program that is rewarding to all members. 

 


 

When will points or miles no longer be issued?

No points or miles will be issued after May 31, 2014.

 


 

What perks will members earn after May 31, 2014?

Until the future Red Lion loyalty program has begun, all members will continue to receive the top benefit of 15% off with the Lowest Rate Period, formerly known as Member Advantage. Until November 30, 2014, Gold and Platinum level members will continue to receive their membership level benefits of free breakfast for up to four individuals on the reservation, water at check in and have their pet fee waived.

 


 

How long will members have to redeem for a hotel stay?

Any redemption for overnight stays must be reserved and used by November 30, 2014.

 


 

How long will members have to redeem points for gift card options?

All gift card redemptions must be redeemed and processed by November 30, 2014.

 


 

Where do members go to redeem points?

Members can login to their online accounts at https://www.redlion.com/redlionrandrclub/ and navigate to the redemption page as done previsouly. Members can also contact our Member Service Center by calling 888-606-0563 to make a hotel redemption or request a gift card option. 

 


 

How will members know the tier level of their membership?

Members still have access to their online accounts to view their point balance and book redemptions. Hotel front desk staff will still be able to identify membership levels within reservations.

 


 

Do members need to keep their membership number or card?

Member profile numbers will remain the same prior to moving into the new loyalty program and should be used to take advantage of the 15% discount offer with Lowest Rate Period, formerly known as Member Advantage. Once the future Red Lion loyalty program is announced, members will not need a card to gain any benefits of highter tier status. Hotel front desk staff will still be able to identify membership levels. Members will automatically be enrolled into the new loyalty program.

 


 

Can members redeem points for cash?

No, there are no cash redemption options. Points are non-transferable.

 


 

What if a member doesn't have enough points to redeem?

Redemptions begin in allotments of 10K and points are non-transferable. Members should continue to take advantage of Lowest Rate Period, formerly known as Member Advantage, which offers 15% off the best available rate.

 


 

How long will it take for a member to receive a gift card after making a request for a redemption?

Redemptions will be processed in the order they are requested. Members should allow four weeks for delivery of merchandise certificates from the date the request is received. Points are non-transferable.

 


 

How long will it take for a member to receive airline miles after making a request for redemption?

Airline miles are submitted once a month and are posted to airline accounts by the second week of every month for miles requested the previous month. Please allow up to 60 days from request to show on the airline account.

 


 

Is there a maximum for which a member can redeem?

Members can use their available points in increments of 10,000 on any of our redemptions until November 30, 2014.

We expect to announce the new program sometime before the end of the third quarter this year.
